Verde maps Portugal's Gigantes Verdes — ancient oak trees over 1.5m in trunk circumference. Over 7,400 trees mapped in Lousada alone, with communities harvesting acorns from restored landscapes, stone-milled into acorn flour (farinha de bolota) by Landratech.
at venn, 3% of every acorn dish on the tasting menu goes back to oak-forest stewardship. the bread on your table is part of that loop.
Through our signed collaboration protocol with Verde Associação (Lousada, May 2025), a percentage of every acorn flour dish on the tasting menu at venn is donated directly to the preservation of ancient trees in Portugal.
3% of tasting menu revenue, when the menu includes acorn flour, goes directly to VERDE — used for large-tree preservation, new oak plantings, and the Gigantes Verdes mapping programme.
